The Canadian Association of Urban Financial Professionals (CAUFP) and SkillHat, a leading e-learning tech company that provides skill development and career advancement, have announced a strategic partnership to provide training opportunities for CAUFP members in Agile Project Management and Business Analysis.

The partnership aims to uplift and empower Black professionals in Canada by providing access to high-demand tech and leadership skills. This initiative seeks to enhance their professional development, break down systemic barriers, and increase their employability in the competitive job market.

By equipping them with in-demand skills and certifications, the partnership will help them advance their careers and contribute to the economic growth and diversity of the Canadian economy.

CAUFP is a member-based resource organization that provides a link between corporations and the Black community through innovative programs that facilitate economic growth and educational opportunities. 

CAUFP has four key pillars: professional development, networking, financial literacy, and youth engagement. CAUFP’s vision is a Canadian economy where Black people are active, influential leaders.

SkillHat is a leading online platform for skill development and career advancement, offering courses and certifications in various domains such as Agile Project Management, Business Analysis, Product Management, Artificial intelligence, Product design and web development. SkillHat’s mission is to launch motivated professionals to dream careers.

The partnership will offer CAUFP members the opportunity to enroll in SkillHat’s Agile Project Management and Business Analyst courses, which are designed to provide comprehensive and practical training in these fields. The courses also prepare the learners for the PMP, CBAP & Scrum certifications, which are globally recognized and valued by employers.

CAUFP is truly investing in its members by covering over 70% of the tuition fees for the courses, as part of its strategy to empower and increase the capabilities of the professionals in its network. The partnership will also provide the learners with access to SkillHat’s mentors, instructors, and career coaches, who will guide them throughout their learning journey and beyond.

The partnership is expected to start in February 2024, with the learners participating in an instructor-led cohort. The cohort will be filled with professionals from various parts of the world, primarily North America.
